Overcoming 31 prestigious candidates from Japan, Australia, Germany, etc. Nikken Sekkei Ltd. won the international design competition in 2005 to become the designer for SECC project.

Representing the Vietnamese culture, The Lotus – the nation’s symbolic image – delivers a hidden meaning of wisdom, eternal faith and prosperity while the Lotus Leaf carries out its mission to support the development of the plant and bring out the quintessential beauty of the Lotus.

SECC locates at the heart of Phu My Hung New City

Inspired by the Lotus Leaf, the large roof with many gentle curves connects the pergola to create soft leafy shade. The joining of trees, courtyards and alcoves gives the space a human scale and offers a sense of tranquility and harmony.

THE DESIRABLE SPOT:

SECC locates at the heart of Phu My Hung New City whose design won The Best Urban Design Award from American Institute of Architect in 1997. This new urban development has been recognized as the best model for other developments in Vietnam.

The center features four indoor exhibition halls with a total area of approximately 40,000 square meters, plus an additional 15,000 to 20,000 square meters of outdoor exhibition space. It also includes a convention hall, meeting rooms, and underground parking.

The attractive sceneries from nature harmonize with the artificial architectures. Embraced entirely in the separated eco-system of gardens, public parks and the Crescent Lake, SECC is beneficial from the pure environment and natural beauty.
