Pacifico Yokohama: Overview

Pacifico Yokohama, officially known as Pacific Convention Plaza Yokohama, is a convention and exhibition center in Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. The center located in the western tip of waterfront Minato Mirai 21 district is one of the largest MICE venues in the nation.

The Conference Center and Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel were completed first on July 29, 1991 with the Exhibition Hall subsequently completed on October 12. On April 25, 1994, National Convention Hall of Yokohama was completed. In 2001 it was designated the main press centre for the 2002 FIFA World Cup and the Exhibition Hall was expanded.

The word “Pacifico” which stands for “Pacific” is derived from the Latin “pacificus” (“peace” in English), primarily meaning “peaceful” or “quiet”. Pacifico Yokohama is also used as a music venue.

National Convention Hall

National Convention Hall is the core facility of PACIFICO Yokohama. It is also one of the largest convention halls in Japan. It has an adjustable stage in addition to over 5,000 seats. It can be used for multiple purposes, from conferences to concerts, ceremonies, and events.

Conference Center

With 50 meeting rooms ranging from an impressive 1,000-seat theater-style hall to smaller, intimate spaces, the venue offers versatile options to accommodate a wide range of events. A direct link to the hotel provides convenient access regardless of the weather.

Exhibition Hall

The Exhibition Hall is the largest structure in PACIFICO Yokohama, boasting an exhibition area of 20,000 ㎡. The vast column-free space with a maximum ceiling height of 19 meters can be divided into four units. The layout can be set up in six different patterns, ideal for exhibitions, events, athletic meets, and large-scale parties.

Annex Hall

The 1,350 m2 Annex Hall is connected to the 2F concourse of the Exhibition Hall and can be divided into six areas to be used for various purposes such as seminars, receptions, and exhibitions. Surrounded by glass walls on three sides, the hall offers an open-air atmosphere.

North

North is a facility that features the largest multi-purpose hall in Japan. The carpeted and column-free multi-purpose hall accommodates a variety of occasions, such as large parties, company conventions, and conferences. There are also 42 meeting rooms in a variety of sizes that support various modern styles.
