We don’t like to brag, but the Minneapolis Convention Center (MCC) is certifiably awesome. It’s also certifiably green.

The MCC is LEED Certified for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance (EBOM) and maintains its Level One certification to the ASTM Standard pertaining to the Evaluation and Selection of Venues for Environmentally Sustainable Meetings, Events, Trade Shows and Conferences.

The new international sustainability venue standard is one of nine standards introduced by the meetings, conventions, exhibitions and events industry to provide event planners and suppliers with specifications for producing events in a more sustainable manner.

Multiple parking ramps are located within walking distance of the MCC to make parking easy and safe. Many ramps boast quick skyway connections to the MCC and offer the choice to pre-purchase your spot.

The MCC is accessible through the skyway system from multiple nearby hotels and parking ramps. The skyway also connects visitors to popular restaurants, shopping destinations and attractions.
ON-SITE GUEST SERVICES
The MCC’s high-functioning Command Center is centrally located on Level One of the building to provide guests with convenient access and efficient response times. With over 100 security cameras, our team monitors all areas of the building 24/7, including our 3rd Ave. Parking Ramp.

The MCC is an accredited  GBAC STAR™ facility and has implemented the most stringent  protocols for cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention. The MCC has increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting with EPA-approved disinfectants in all public and private spaces with an emphasis on high touchpoint areas.

Navigating the MCC is a breeze. Wayfinding screens are strategically placed throughout the building, guiding you to where you need to be. The Visitor Information Center and posted security guards are also available to assist guests and answer any questions.

Look for Downtown Improvement District (DID) Ambassadors if you need help or assistance while exploring downtown Minneapolis, using our public streets and transportation, or navigating our skyways.
