Discover one of India’s biggest icons that’s influenced from the philosophy and life of Mahatma Gandhi. Spanning over 34 acres near Ahmedabad, this expansive venue is perfect for hosting large-scale events, expos and conventions. Equipped with every modern amenity imaginable, this centre accommodates over 15,000 people in its air-conditioned halls and 6,000 in its theatre-style hall. Also available are four seminar rooms, three exhibition centres, seven conference halls and modern meeting and conference rooms. Nearby, a suspension bridge leads to the mound-shaped Dandi Kutir, where a museum of Mahatma Gandhi commemorates the famous march, a significant movement towards India’s independence.
Close to 22,000 sq.mt. of air-conditioned facilities sprawled across 34 acres and built to accommodate 15,000 delegates, The Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Centre Managed by The Leela is an integrated development comprising of a Heads of States Centre, Convention facilities, Exhibition halls, an open-air amphitheatre, expansive lawns, retail shops and easy access to Dandi Kutir, India’s largest and only museum on the life and principles of Mahatma Gandhi and the 318 room luxury hotel, The Leela Gandhinagar. While the innovatively designed spinning wheel generates energy that helps illuminate the complex, access to the mound-shaped Dandi Kutir by way of a suspension bridge is symbolic of the Dandi March that played a significant role in India’s Independence Movement.

The Complex
This structure, made using green construction technologies, capably handles the swift movement of 15,000+ individuals. Other facilities include a large foyer, where visitors will find ATMs, Travel Desk, Food Court, Photo Gallery, and other essential services.
Convention Hall
The Convention Hall offers VIP viewing galleries and a seating capacity of 5,000. Its use of movable partitions can divide the space into three parts. Features include 8 multilingual interpretation booths, Plug & Play Sound Reinforce System (SRS) facilities, controlled temperature and lighting, and a sizeable pantry.
Exhibition Centre
At almost 10,500 sq ft, this pillar-less space is ideal for exhibitions, expos and other programmes. It can be split to create two large-sized and one medium-sized centre. These flexible spaces are made of heavy-duty flooring to help showcase heavy machinery or industrial / medical equipment. Service trenches with electrical and water supply are also fitted. Other facilities include plug and play Sound Reinforce System (SRS) facilities, telecommunication systems, washrooms, adequate storage facilities and a food court.
