Kaohsiung Exhibition Center (KEC): Overview

Located at the heart of Asia New Bay Area, KEC has strived to serve the interests of our stakeholders, to upkeep and continually develop a state-of-the-art facility and to enhance our performance, ensuring the success of KEC. Since 2021, KEC has transforms into a 5G smart venue; and delivers various 5G MICE technology and applications, to provide “Venue X Tech” innovative solution and make your event beyond your imagination.

The KEC is a convention center in Cianjhen District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

Designed by Australian architect, Philip Cox, the KEC was initiated in 2006 and built by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in which has invested NT$ 3 billion to the venue. After seven years of planning and two years of construction, the grand opening of the center was held on 14 April 2014.

The KEC Corporation manages the daily operation and maintenance of the center for the next 12.5 years. The company invested NT$ 250 million to upgrade the center and expects to generate return on investment of up to NT$ 3.4 billion by the end of 2026.

The Kaohsiung Exhibition Center is an international exhibition and congress venue which offers high-quality infrastructure and services to event organizers.

The center is accessible within walking distance south west from Sanduo Shopping District Station of Kaohsiung MRT.

The center can also be accessible by walking south of the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center light rail station.

Info Center
KEC‘s Info Center, which is situated on the east entrance, provides instant information and assistances for visitors, exhibitors and organizers.
VIP Room / Speaker’s Lounge
KEC‘s VIP rooms are equipped with private meeting lounge, banquet table and individual restrooms. There are 2, one each on our 2nd and 3rd floors of the convention center. A dedicated and particular space for hosting speakers and distinguished VIP guests.
Press Center
KEC‘s press center, is located on the 2nd floor on the west bridge of our center. It provides a comfortable private space and environment with free Wi-Fi access for registered reporters and journalists to publish and update the latest on-site news.
Breastfeeding Room
KEC‘s breastfeeding room provides a private, secure and sanitary space for breastfeeding mothers on the 2nd floor of the center. The space is equipped with air-conditioning, dryer machine, emergency button and fire extinguishing equipment.
Organizer’s Office
Organizer’s offices, are located on the ground floor and 2nd floor (West Bridge) of KEC. They have internet access, telephone lines and drinking fountain, providing a convenient and comfortable working space for organizer staff during build-up and the exhibitions themselves.
First Aid
Our First Aid station on the 2nd floor (East Bridge) provides immediate emergency medical assistance.
