GJIIF 2020: Event Profile
The Gem & Jewellery India International Fair (GJIIF 2020) is a mega one-stop B2B jewellery trade show at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai during 03 – 05 September 2020. This platform will allow the domestic and the global gem & jewellery sector an excellent business opportunity to explore various multi-faceted aspects of the Industry.
The Amalgamation of Indian Jewellery Industry under one roof, is jointly organized by Tamil Nadu Jewellers Federation, All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council and Madras Jewellers & Diamond Merchants Association in “The Gateway of South India” – Chennai.
The first edition of Gem & Jewellery India International Fair was organized in September 2018 to realize a long standing wish to make Chennai as jewellery sourcing hub for South India and to get together of Indian jewellery fraternities for the purpose of sharing each other’s experience, disseminate latest market updates and enhancing their business skills.
With a humble beginning of over 750 booths from across India in 2018, GJIIF 2020 has now grown to become the largest exclusive B2B jewellery trade show for South India with over 1200* booths from over 25 cities covering 10 states, GJIIF 2020 has become the platform for jewellery sourcing in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and International buyers from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore & Malaysia.
With the current positive vibe, the expected trade visitors for the second edition are expected be over 25,000 against 10,000 trade visitors in first edition.

Tamil Nadu Jewellers Federation
Tamil Nadu Jewellery Federation is the apex body comprising of 80 Jeweller Associations from all parts of Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu Jewellery Federation has been striving for the growth and betterment of Gold Jewellery Trade. The Federation has been tirelessly working towards for the betterment of Traders, especially on issues like removing the Gold Control Act, sales tax matters, Police protection related issues & tax on gold etc., and has been acting as guardian of the gold trading community in the state. Tamil Nadu Jewellers Federation is also a member of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi (FICCI). Also is a member of All India Sharaba Sangha and Quality Control Corporation. The main objective of the Federation is the welfare of the gold jewellery trading fraternity.
All India Gem And Jewellery Domestic Council
All India Gem And Jewellery Domestic Council is a national trade federation established with the objective to address the industry, its functioning and its cause with a 360° approach to promote and progress its growth, while protecting the industry’s interests. As a self-regulated trade body, GJC, since the last 10 years, has been serving as a bridge between the Government and the trade as well as undertaking various initiatives on behalf of and for the industry.
Madras Jewellers & Diamond Merchants Association
The Madras Jewellers & Diamond Merchants Association (MJDMA) is a non-profit organization with a membership of more than 1,200 small, medium and big jewellers. The prime objective of the association is to promote the establishment of new derivative and related markets, and to encourage and strengthen channels of communication and information among members.
