CHINAPLAS 2026: Event Profile
Accompanying the growth of China’s plastics and rubber industries for 38 years, CHINAPLAS has become a distinguished meeting and business platform for these industries and has also largely contributed to their prosperous development. At present, CHINAPLAS is not only the largest plastics and rubber trade fair in Asia, it is also widely recognized by the industry as the 2nd most influential exhibition in the world. Its significance is surpassed only by K Fair in Germany, the world’s premier plastics and rubber trade fair.
Chinaplas is one of the world’s leading trade fairs for plastics and rubber technology, held annually in China since 1983. It has established itself as an important industry event for companies from the plastics and rubber industry, attracting exhibitors and trade visitors from all over the world who seek to learn about the latest developments, products and technologies in the fields of raw materials, machinery, mold making and services. At Chinaplas, companies from various sectors, such as the automotive, electronics, packaging and construction industries, present their innovations and solutions. The fair offers a comprehensive platform for professionals to make business contacts, promote cooperation and identify market trends.
The show is organized by Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd., a leading trade fair organizer in Asia operating since 1978 and specializing in the organization of international trade fairs and conferences in various industries. Chinaplas has recorded constant growth in recent years, making a significant contribution to the further development and internationalization of the Chinese plastics and rubber industry.
On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 4 days of the fair, from 13. April to 16. April 2021, about 3,600 exhibitors and 1,52,314 visitors on the Chinaplas in Shenzhen.
This year the Chinaplas takes place on 4 days from 21 – 24 April, 2026 in Shanghai already for the 38th time.
Innovation of the Year:
From debut technologies by leading suppliers of the industry in 2021-2022, 30+ outstanding technology products were selected after overall consideration of factors such as the innovation level, application effectiveness, market concern, etc. They are highly recommended to users in different application industries.
More than half of the selected technologies are sustainability or plastics recycling related. They include low carbon materials such as high-performance bioplastics, and recycled marine plastics. On machinery and equipment side, precision and system intelligence is the innovation focus, addressing the market needs to shorten production cycles, reduce costs and increase efficiency. Other Innovations cover different specialized solutions for automotive, medical, building and construction, E&E industries etc.
