WETEX & Dubai Solar Show 2023: Overview
WETEX and Dubai Solar Show organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), are in line with Dubai’s vision to build a sustainable future for the Emirate and is held annually under the directive of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The exhibition provides a leading platform for international organisations to present their latest solutions and products, and to learn about innovative technologies from all over the world in the sectors of energy, water, sustainability, green technologies, renewable and clean energy, green mobility solutions, sustainable development, green buildings, water desalination technologies, smart cities and others. Through specialised seminars and panel discussions held on its sidelines, it also provides opportunities to exchange ideas with several international experts and specialists.
Message from the founder and chairman of WETEX
Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. DEWA organises the 25th Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) and Dubai Solar Show. This supports the vision of the wise leadership to promote the sustainable development of the UAE and consolidate Dubai’s position as a global hub for green economy.
It is held under the theme ‘At the forefront of sustainability’, from 15 to 17 November 2023, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The 2023 WETEX and Dubai Solar Show (DSS) has notable momentum, as it coincides with the ‘Year of Sustainability’ in the UAE. It is expected to witness an exceptional turnout, especially with the UAE’s preparations to host the COP28 by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) at Dubai Expo City in November. DEWA will also organise the first Middle East and North Africa Solar Conference 2023, in conjunction with the exhibition. This will attract additional experts and researchers specialised in clean and renewable energy. The conference is the first scientific and technical conference of its kind in the region that specialises in photovoltaic systems.
