Starch Expo China 2025: Overview

The Starch Expo China 2025 jointly hosted by China Starch Industry Association and Shanghai Sinoexpo Informa Markets International Exhibition Co., Ltd. This expo is deeply combined with the food series exhibition of the same period, integrating starch, potato, health ingredients, food ingredients, health nutrition and health care products, food processing, packaging and others in the food industry chain.

In recent years, as global health awareness rises and consumer preferences rapidly evolve, the starch industry in Asia is undergoing an unprecedented transformation and upgrade. China, as a key player in this field, not only continues to lead in production volume but also demonstrates strong wind in technological innovation, product diversification, and sustainable development. The starch industry is actively embracing market changes, continuously developing innovative products to meet high-end market demands, and expanding its application from everyday food to specialized functional uses.

Reflecting on Starch Expo 2024, the Exhibition, in collaboration with concurrent events, attracted a total of 76,801 professional visitors from across the entire industry chain, including starch and starch derivatives food, beverages, nutritional supplements, and health products. The exhibition saw 9,298 domestic visitors, marking a significant 54% increase from the previous year, and 1,184 international visitors achieving an astonishing 155% growth. Together, they witnessed a historic leap in the scale and influence of the exhibition.

June 24 – 26, 2025, Starch Expo China will once again open at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). We aim to create a stage to showcase the achievements of China’s starch industry, an incubator for fostering international cooperation and sparking innovative thinking and look forward to gathering with global peers to drive the starch industry toward a more brilliant future.
