Swadeshi Mela to Swadeshotsav: 2025
Since its very beginning, the Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM) has been driven by the vision of an Atmanirbhar Bharat – a Self-Reliant India. Out of this movement of mass awakening was born the idea of the Swadeshi Mela. The first of its kind was held in Delhi in 1991, igniting a journey that continues to shine brighter with every passing year.
The path “From Swadeshi Mela to Swadeshotsav” is not merely a change in name—it is the story of India’s rising spirit. What once began as modest fairs to encourage local handicrafts and cottage industries has today blossomed into the grand and magnificent Swadeshotsav. It is here that the soul of Indian culture finds a national stage, where the call of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Bharat First resonates, strengthening both our economic self-reliance and our identity on the global map.
Swadeshotsav is much more than a trade fair—it is a festival of the nation. It symbolizes the Sangh’s Panch Parivartan, empowering individuals and communities alike, and carrying forward the dream of a prosperous, strong, and self-reliant India.
