Agritechnica Hanover 2023: Event Profile
Agritechnica Hanover 2023 is a leading international exhibition for agricultural machinery and equipment, which takes place every two years in Hanover. It has its roots in the DLG Exhibition, which was held first in 1887 and became in 1985 a separate show, which was first held in Frankfurt and switched in 1995 to Hanover at the world’s largest exhibition center. Agritechnica is the most important agricultural technology exhibitions worldwide. In addition to farm equipment and agricultural machinery, innovative products, cutting-edge solutions and new technologies for water and energy-saving cultivation and concepts for sustainable management and for the future of plant production are shown. Even in times of recession the growing demand for food and biomass promises good prospects for the agriculture, especially in Eastern European markets. Under the umbrella of the Agritechnica the Systems & Components takes place, the trade fair for systems, modules, components and accessories for agricultural machinery and related industries. Both exhibitions complement each other in their product offering and therefore represent the full range of agricultural technology. Furthermore both fairs, the Agritechnica as well as the Systems & Components, profit from the synergies regarding visitor numbers, business deals and expert dialogues.
The DLG is postponing the Agritechnica Hanover trade fair. Because of the continuing Corona pandemic as well as the progress of vaccination programs, both in Germany and abroad, the DLG, VDMA Agricultural Machinery Association and AGRITECHNICA’s exhibitor advisory board have concluded that insufficient certainty for planning currently exists for the world-leading exhibition in November. The new dates for Agritechnica Hanover are 12 – 18 November, 2023.
With the four-month postponement of the trade fair, the DLG, as organizer, as well as the members of the VDMA Agricultural Machinery Association, believe that the participating companies have the necessary certainty required for planning.
