Course Directors
David Richards has over 30 years experience in the international oil and natural gas business with the BP Group. He gained a breadth of experience in senior management positions within the downstream marketing business in the UK, Europe and South Africa, involving Directorships in a number of BP subsidiaries.

Trevor Christmas has 30 years experience in the energy industry with BP, and more recently, with the IPE. At BP, he held senior management positions in London, Asia and the Americas mainly in trading and downstream. At the IPE, he was responsible for the Exchange's marketing services worldwide in oil, gas and electricity.

Expert Faculty Members
Ian Duckels worked with Shell and BP in Refining, Distribution and Strategic Planning in the UK, South Africa and the Benelux countries and managed BP's Refining and Commercial Operations in Rotterdam. Ian works in energy project development related to oil, power and alternative fuels.

Roberto Ulivieri is currently a Principal Consultant with international energy consultants Purvin & Gertz, Inc. where he provides technical, economic and commercial advice to the firm's clients in the downstream oil and gas industry. His 11 year career began at ENI, in the Process Technology and the Planning departments the Livorno refinery. In 1997 he joined the refining technology group of MW Kellogg and processed to cover the role of commissioning coordinator in a major LNG project. since joining the Purvin & Gertz London office in 2000, he has carried out numerous assignments of various nature on crude oil and refined products markets, refinery projects and refinery acquisition.
