CIFF Guangzhou 2024: Overview

A new business model to strengthen the furniture industry

“Design trend, global trade, entire supply chain” is the new theme through which CIFF Guangzhou is repositioning itself to aid the sector’s development in the context of a global pandemic.

The 53rd edition of China International Furniture Fair, the major furniture design event of 2024 in China, will aim to promote the value of design and create a new business model in touch with current events and the new rules of the game. The model is based on synergy between the extraordinary internal market and the further growth of exports, as well as integration of offline and online promotion in order to offer an optimised, more comprehensive exhibition portfolio that adequately represents the entire furniture industry, always supporting the needs of exhibitors and visitors.

CIFF Guangzhou 2024 will be held in two stages organised by product sector: the first, from 18 to 21 March, dedicated to home, outdoor and leisure furniture, furnishing accessories and fabrics; the second, from 28 to 28 March, for office furniture and chair, hotel furnishings, metal furniture, furniture for public spaces and waiting areas, accessories, materials and machinery for the furniture industry.

Covering a total area of 750,000 square metres, the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou is expected to host 4,000 companies and 300,000 trade visitors.

Quite apart from the numbers, the truly pleasant aspect was the new collaboration initiatives that demonstrated the desire to provide much more than a simple exhibition. Today, more than ever, CIFF sees itself as a constantly developing reality, committed to looking for new business opportunities for its exhibitors.

CIFF 2017 witnesses the great success of “Pinnacle Awards Asia-Pacific”, thanks to the collaboration between CIFF and American Society of Furniture Designers (ASFD); 30 exquisitely-designed works stood out from over one thousand pieces, successfully obtaining the “golden key” to exploit new opportunities to gain world recognition.

Apart from the successful cooperation with ASFD, great events like The CIFF & Tmall Deco Fashion, Office Life Theme Pavilion, Global Garden Lifestyle Festival, China Decoration Design Conference, Trade Matching, also perfectly interpreted the trends in the sector and brought great benefits to visitors and exhibitors.
